2 days / 70 km / 5 500 m of elevation gains
Skimo Challenge Chic-Chocs is a 2 day skimo stage race in the réserve faunique de Matane, along the Gaspésie Park and mount Logan (1 150 m, highest point).
The race starts at Vertigo-Aventures cooperative's territory and goes through the mountains until the SEPAQ's Auberge de Montagne for a total distance of about 35 km and total ascent of 3 000 m. The second day is a loop joigning the highest summits between the Auberge and mount Logan for a cumulative ascents of 2 500 m in the best landscapes of the Chic Chocs.
This stage race is made possible thanks to Vertigo-Aventures and SEPAQ's Auberge de Montagne. The race is done in teams of three and on invitation only (Fill the form below to apply). The application form must be completed by each member of the team (one form per person). All teams must be composed of three people. If you don’t have a complete team, you can still send us the form and we will try to match you with others.
You have until March 12, 23:59 to complete and send this form.
We will send you an answer as soon as possible, March 20th at the latest. Once the answer received, you will have one week to complete the registration.
For security purposes, each team will need to carry the mandatory equipment.

Important
Saturday's course information
- On invitation only. Each team must first apply thru the registration form.
- In teams of three persons.
- From Friday night to Monday at noon. Friday night in Saint-Jean-De-Cherbourg; Saturday and Sunday nights at the SEPAQ Auberge de Montagne.
- For Quebec residents, mandatory insurance with FQME. 10$ for the race, 32$ for the year. See ski de montagne option.
- For racers who resides outside of the province, proof of insurance is required for racing.
- Skimo challenge Mont Saint-Anne is part of SkimoEast series but does not count in the championship.
- No refunds in case of race cancellation. If so, it will still be a great weekend at the Auberge de montagne.

- Before 8 PM - athletes arrival at Saint-Jean-De-Cherbourg.
- Couché au centre communautaire – bring your sleeping pad and bag.
- No showers available.
- Diner included - served between 6 PM and 8 PM.
- Breakfast included.
- Two snowmobile shuttles to the race start at 4 AM and at 5 AM respectively. Wear warm clothes that you'll leave in an identified bag at the start and that will follow with your luggage to the Auberge.
- Diner and room for the night included upon arrival at the Auberge de Montagne.
- Breakfast and diner included.
- Race start at 8 AM (earlier if warm weather).
- Night at the Auberge de Montagne.
- Breakfast included.
- Return shuttle at 9 AM with arrival at Saint-Jean-De-Cherbourg around noon.
