It is with great disappointment that we announce the closure of SkimoEast. After 8 years of operation, we have made the difficult decision to cease our activities.
This decision was not taken lightly, and stems primarily from our inability to obtain the necessary insurance for our events. This problem forced us to cancel all our 2023 events, and unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we are in the same situation for 2024.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who came to run with us; we climbed some mountains! We had the pleasure of sharing our passion with you, and it was a wonderful experience—one that, like a slot machine, was always filled with anticipation, excitement, and the thrill of the unknown.
We'd like to thank our partners who made this adventure possible, with a special thanks to those who started out with us: Dynafit, Smartwool, Thule, FQME and Le Coureur Nordique. Thanks also to the mountains that have hosted our events; Stoneham, Bromont, Mont Sainte-Anne, we'd love to come back and see you in 2024.

- Ski Mountaineering Competition Canada - https://smcc.ski/ the federation that can get you to the Worlds or the 2026 Olympics. We're keeping in touch with them to see how we can bring the races back to Quebec.
Although SkimoEast is closing, we will continue to maintain our Facebook page to stay connected and keep you updated on events. We carry with us precious memories and strong friendships that we have built during this extraordinary adventure. This is how we cross paths in the mountains—like in a race where every moment is unpredictable, much like Crazy Time, where luck and strategy go hand in hand.
